I had a trauma, my teeth as a child and about 16 months ago I had a root canal. Yesterday I woke up with an abscess in the gums. At first I thought it was just an ulcer, but increased throughout the day, and it seems strange that it was just above the tooth that had problems in the past. I called the dentist and I had yesterday. I spent the tooth, put me on antibiotics and I'm going to see a specialist Friday. I am very nervous and my dentist told me I should probably (a type of surgery), no other channel, but do not know much more than that.
